How Can My Belly Possibly Keep Growing??

30 weeks down- only 10 TO GO!!!!! (As of tomorrow at least)

I honestly have NO clue how it will be possible for my belly to keep growing these next 10 weeks. Little Declan moves around SO much these days. I love it! I am assuming this will slow down real fast though since he won't have much wiggle room for long.

Baby: Weighs as much as a large cabbage (Almost 16 inches in length and around 3- 3.5 pounds!) He keeps his eyes open when he's awake now! So strange!

Symptoms: TIRED, achey, ribs hurt, not able to bend over much, NO SLEEP unless I take a unisom, definitely starting to gain some weight now- I think I am probably up about 12 pounds now since the beginning! I am hungry all the time and eat way more than I did in the beginning so I am a tad bit worried I may just keep gaining- haha! I actually did a work out this past week- FIRST time since I've been pregnant- pretty pathetic I know. I would LIKE to start working out more if possible. Still having constant braxton hicks but will be talking to my Doctor on our check up tomorrow about that.

I am getting REALLY anxious now to meet this little guy- I love being pregnant but can see how it slows down in the end- totally slowing down now. I am trying SO SUPER hard to enjoy every moment of this pregnancy- especially because I have NO idea if I can have more babies after this. Of course I will try- but you never know with my body what to expect.

Birth Plan: I have been thinking a lot about this as of late. My mother in law asked me what my birth plan was and to be honest I have NO idea. My plan was to labor as much as I could handle at home-(This may not be much since I'm sort of a wimp- ya I can admit that) head to the hospital, get an epidural and PRAY for a normal vaginal delivery.

I want to enjoy my baby of course but if the hospital offers to take him for the night I am going to try my darnest to say yes so I can get some rest. I want just my husband in the room and possibly a photographer. I feel awful about the not inviting my mom in but I kind of want the moment for my hubby and I to share. I wish I could say that I was wonder woman and could do with out the drugs- I don't think that's the case and to be honest that's what the epidural is there for so why not? I look up to you ladies that can handle that type of pain! I am not taking any birthing classes and haven't even started thinking about packing a hospital bag yet- guess I should do that sometime soon just in case.

I watched a few birthing videos- and holy cow this is starting to get me a bit freaked out- not sure if it was a smart idea at this moment. Ignorance is bliss right? :) Overall my plan is really no plan since birthing plans can change in a moments time right? What is your birthing plan?? I have read some nightmare stories of hospital births so I just PRAY that I am making the right choice here.

Ellen Show: Have you all heard of the Ellen Baby Shower show??First off I'm obsessed with the Ellen Show- she is freakin hilarious and her show is always entertaining! Well I applied and am DYING to go- that will be coming up the month before my due date (perfect timing!!) It's like Oprah's Favorite Things but Ellen style and you have to be expecting to be in the audience. Crossing my fingers I get to go!!! My husband even knows one of the producers and HE can't even get extra tickets- must be pretty tough so we'll see. If you haven't applied and your pregnant- you should!!! :) Just sayin!

I couldn't resist... :)

EEK! I know annoying- two posts in two days. Keep in mind I have nothing to do in life right now but work- and nothing I do at work but day dream about Declan. :) I am pretty sure after he's born I am going to have a REALLY hard time posting since I will be at home with the little guy. :) Today he was somewhat cooperating with the camera :) Majority of the time he had his foot in his mouth! Little stinker was sucking on his toes!! It was so funny to watch.

Because I am obsessed already I thought I would share a few more.

His hand on his face as always. :)
Here he is grimacing...
He's SO chunky already!I can't wait to kiss those cute lips!!!
At one point he opened real wide and you could see a huge smile of just GUMS. For some reason that picture isn't on my cd but the ultrasound tech laughed and said she had never seen gums before.
Sucking on his foot
I thought I would share the baby shower invite my sister got put together! I thought it was super cute- her and my best friend are throwing the cutest "bow ties" themed baby shower and I am SO excited for this. When I got the invite I kind of freaked for a moment seeing MY name on a baby shower invite- it didn't really register till then that this is FOR REALS.
Also I'm curious if any of you soon to be mommy's or already moms dealt with LOTS of contractions. I honestly get them ALL THE TIME. Sometimes every few minutes even. They don't hurt-so I haven't called in about it. I'm just assuming it's fine and that if I was in labor I would know? I have an actual Dr. appt on Monday so I can always ask him then- they are more annoying than anything. The lady doing the ultrasound said it wasn't normal how many I had while I was on the table hence the concern...hopefully I am just over analyzing as usual.

P.s THANK you for the responses on my little dog. I am praying everything goes well when little man get's here and she loves him like I do. I truly do think he knows already he's on his way...especially since she cuddles my belly and he kicks her...already buddies let's hope!

A Little Dog Envy- and a not so attractive bump pic!

Oh my gosh- how can you not love this face??! I got to dog sit for a friend this weekend (this dog is seriously TINY an such a cuddle bug!) She would snuggle up with my husband every night to sleep. However; having this little cute doggie over made me realize how scared I am to bring home my baby from the hospital to my current dog Lexi.

My dog was a MESS this weekend with this little newbie getting ANY attention whatsoever from Jonny and I. Granted she is extremely spoiled and this is totally my fault. I feel awful! My dog has been my baby for 4 years now- no joke. She is a good dog, she even does good with little nieces and nephews tugging at her ears and annoying the heck out of her. My dilemma is this: this weekend she went BOLLISITC! She was so jealous that she couldn't stand it. If Jonny and I were holding this little dog she would literally snap and try to attack her. Jonny says if she even tries this ONCE when Declan comes home he getting rid of her. :(

OF COURSE my baby comes first and I understand this completely- I am just PRAYING this dog can handle the jealousy. Makes me sad to think I may have to find her a good home once baby comes. She comforted me for SO many years when I would cry over not being able to get pregnant- she was my rock so it feels unfair and just not right. Has anyone brought a baby home to their dog and had issues?? Grrr...seems like such a silly thing to worry about but I truly am!

Updates: As of today I have officially 11 weeks to go to D- Day! Unless Declan decides he has his own schedule of course! I am 29 weeks today and am feeling so unprepared! I am dealing with all the same ole symptoms: ribs hurt like crazy! Leg and foot cramps, and dizzy from time to time. But my most recent one:
LEAKING. Oh my gosh I freaked when it all the sudden hit me- oh ya I'm going to be nursing (I hope) in 11 weeks! My sister warned me- but to be honest- I figured my body would fail me in the nursing department since it usually failed on ANYTHING to do with having the right hormones. Hopefully this means things will go smoothly in that department because I would really love to be able to nurse. So please body do what it's supposed to!!!

And a not so attractive bump picture taken from work at 29 weeks after an 8 hour day with still 3 hours-ish to go:

My hubby and I are looking forward to the midnight showing of Hunger Games this week- hopefully my exhausted body will make it! I think my body is more tired now than it was in my first and second trimester combined!

Sneak Peek :)

Those are his toes on his face :)

After an 11 hour work day I went BACK to th ultrasound place for a 9 pm appt. When he FINALLY decided to show his face my body kept having contractions making his face squished in there :( He finally tries to show off than my body fails dang it! Here are a few at least that are half showing his face- his toes were on his face instead of his hands this time- haha! The lady wants me to come back next Tuesday but part of me wants to just leave it alone now and know that he just wants to surprise me :) Already such a silly boy. He did smile a lot in there which was so cute! These are distorted but the best they could do dang it!

28 Weeks

Not too much exciting going on this past week but I did get to see my little buddy on an ultrasound today!!! My little boy is EXTREMELY stubborn and once again faced my back the entire ultrasound. At this point I am ready to give up since I get to actually meet my boy in just a few months. The ultrasound tech guy felt bad and said to come back tonight at 9 pm to try one more time- so one more time and I give up. I get to one more ultrasound at 32 weeks but I am assuming they are quit squished at that point and hard to see. Not gonna lie- a little disappointed today- but I can't blame the kid- he's comfy in there and LOVES his hands all over his face. He would wiggle his fingers but would not move them enough for us to see. He was yawning and sucking on one of his hands. I already love this little boy so much. Just wish he would show me his face dang it!

Brief Updates:

How far along- 7 months now- 28 weeks and 1 day! WOOT WOOT!

Results From Gestasional Diabetes Test: Everything looked good- whew!!!

Baby Boy: Baby is the size of a Chinese Cabbage or an eggplant :)

About 2 and a half pounds (Almost 15 inches long!)
He can Blink his eyes and now has lashes! And he is getting chunky now preparing for birth!

My sister and my best friend are throwing me a super cute baby shower in just a month! I can't wait to figure out what else I need and do the final shopping and final touches on his room. Things are slowly but surley coming together.

I did buy my breast pump this weekend. I have heard how important it is to get a good one so we went all out and got the Modella- the best pump they have. P.S Buy Buy Baby accepts 20 percent off coupons from Bed Bath and Beyond- this knocked off quit a bit on the pump!

Jonny and I did LOTS of shopping this weekend and debated and finally figured out which stroller and carseat we are getting. When we walked into any of the baby stores it all felt so surreal. Shopping together for OUR baby! Such an amazing feeling!

We decided on the Peg Pereggo carseat- we have heard and read amazing reviews- only downfall is that it's heavy. But it's safe which is the most important thing! Than for the stroller after LOTS of debating we decided the City Mini GT- it's lightweight but durable and can covert from a regular stroller for a toddler to having an infant car seat- so it will last for a long time! Those of you who know me- know that I started researching this like a year before Declan was conceived so I am SO glad to have it picked! We just have to go pick it up now! Here they are:

It looks kind of like this with an infant seat inside the stroller- this is not the same one though- but similar.
And like this for when he is a little older.
IF tonight happens to work out I will post updated pictures of him tomorrow- CROSS YOUR FINGERS for me ladies!

27 Weeks

COUTDOWN BEGINS: 13 weeks to go (LESS than ONE Week to the third TRIMESTER!) 2/3rd baked!!! This is all feeling oh so real now- and it's hard to wipe the smile from my face just thinking about it.

Baby is: 14 1/2 inches and 2 pounds (size of a roast or head of cauliflower)

***Baby's lungs and immune system are maturing this week
***Eyelids can now open and the eyes have color!

Symptoms: Braxton Hicks all. the. time. No joke. Sunday night I was getting them every few minutes. The Dr. assured me it was normal and fine. My lower back hurts real bad these days, leg cramps, RIBS HURT, and the normal headaches- and out of nowhere just pure exhaustion. This making a human thing is hard work! :) He is kicking me like crazy as of late- I can see it from the outside now which I LOVE!

Weight Gain: Dr. said I am officially up NINE pounds from the beginning of this pregnancy- I am pretty sure I gained it ALL on vacation...lol. No problem with this anymore :)

Sleep: My sister let me borrow her pregnancy pillow. This thing works wonders on keeping me off my back. I have to take half a unisom at night to get restful sleep- but I get it now with that and the pillow. :)

This week My goals: To finish registry! Get my hubby to start painting the room :)

My Dr. Appt yesterday went really good! I see him again in 3 weeks and after that every TWO weeks! Means it's getting closer to the finish line. No news on the glucose test yet but I will say it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected it to be from some nightmare stories. Seriously not bad at all. Glad it's over though :)

What I am looking forward too:

***Hearing my results from the glucose test
*** Seeing my little boy on ultrasound again next Tuesday. I am lame and paying another $45 to go to an ultrasound place. :) My Dr has me down for ONE more at 32 weeks. :) So two more times and than I get to meet him for reals!
***And since house cleaning is NOT getting done these days- I FINALLY hired a housekeeper! She is coming this Saturday and I couldn't be more thrilled (Thank you for the referral Bailey) I will enjoy not mopping the floors and cleaning the toilets!

Also- the room is coming along real nicley! Jonny put together the crib, mobile, and bedding! If you look closely you can see my dog Lexi hiding under the crib- her little black nose is barley sticking out- I think she already is jealous...lol

And a few things on my wish list from Etsy...SO CUTE!!!
I need to stay off the computer all together- too many cute things to buy...

Live simply, Love generously, Care deeply, Speak kindly.

I got this a while back at work. Thought this was too cute not to share...:)

There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head. Well," she said, "I think I'll braid my hair today?" So she did and she had a wonderful day. The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror, and saw that she had only two hairs on her head. "H-M-M," she said, "I think I'll part my hair down the middle today?" So she did and she had a grand day. The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that she had only one hair on her head. "Well," she said, "today I'm going to wear my hair in a pony tail." So she did and she had a fun, fun day. The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head. "YEA!" she exclaimed, "I don't have to fix my hair today!" Attitude is everything. Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

This is so true! Loved it :) Thought I would also post the rest of my baby moon pics for those of you who would like to see them :) Click on the links to take you there.
